THis is a gum dichromate print, one of the original methods to print photographs. Mixing potassium dichromate, gum arabic and watercolor pigmant, each color layer is brushed on by hand. After drying, the print is exposed through a contact negative in a light box for 15 minutes or more. then the print is washed, dried, coated with the next color, allowed to dry, exposed again through the contact negative...this process is repeated 4 or 5 times for each print.
